Soft drinks, electronics, nutrient-free snacks — you can get all of those from a vending machine. But what type of vending machine is sorely needed but doesn’t yet exist? Share your automated retail fantasies with us!
I think more often than not when I’m in trouble/pain, the last thing that I’m looking is for is advice. We have lost the ability to listen, we don’t hear people out. We listen to them to reply and not to understand. Most of us don’t share our woes with people because of the fright of consequences like, would my secret be safe? What would they think about me?
Additionally it is easier sharing things with a stranger, someone who doesn’t have preconceived notions about you and is not quick to judge, and someone who won’t use your secret as a means to take advantage or spread gossip.
If I could create a vending machine, I would make one where anyone can walk up and dial a number which would connect them to another random person in the globe who also is using the machine at the same time. A medium also would be installed so that you can see each other but that is only if you wish too. And just in case nobody else is using it, then it would automatically get connected to the “spread happiness team” (customer service) who would try their best to listen you out or help you.
Now, you have a stranger in front of you to whom you could pour out your heart and talk, and get advice too! Further another feature also would be included with the buttons: Happy/Sad. So anyone who is feeling sad, gets connected to a person who has pressed happy and the sad person could share his/her sorrows and the happy person could cheer him up!
From where I come poverty and impoverishment is a big issue. There would be another feature which lets you pay money for things like a cup of tea, fruits, milk, bun etc. which could then be used by a poor person. When he would go to the vending machine, he will find the items for which money has been paid and could vend out the same according to his needs. This will result in not only charity but the fact that a person need not go hungry to sleep.
After all a smile is a curve that sets things straight! 🙂
